About Foseco & Vesuvius
A Legacy Born from Innovation
The story of Foseco begins in 1932 in Birmingham, UK. Today Foseco operates as the foundry division of Vesuvius PLC — serving foundries across more than 30 countries. As an authorised Foseco channel partner, Multi Sales Corporation brings this world-class portfolio to foundries across Maharashtra.
01
Crucibles & Retorts
Foseco delivers crucible solutions engineered for demanding foundry applications — exceptional thermal shock resistance, extended service life, and optimal metal quality.
Two principal families: Salamander® (VAluStar, ISO-Alustar Z2, ISO-Alustar e²) and Noltina® (Syncarb® Z2, Syncarb® FL).
Key Benefits
- Exceptional thermal shock resistance
- Reduced metal loss and dross generation
- Extended crucible life
- ENERTEK energy-efficient options

02
Fluxes for Aluminium Alloys
Foseco's COVERAL flux range covers cleaning and drossing applications in aluminium foundries. They reduce oxide formation, help remove non-metallics, and reduce aluminium content of dross.
Also available: grain refiners (NUCLEANT, TIBORAL, ELDUCTAL) and SIMODAL modifiers for aluminium-silicon alloy treatment.
03
DYCOTE Die Coatings
Die coatings control filling and solidification, facilitate casting release, and prolong die life in gravity and low-pressure die casting.
Application: Spray (preferred), brush, or immersion. Includes DYCOTE main range and DYCOTE SAFEGUARD.
04
Degassing Machines (FDU)
Foseco's FDU (Foundry Degassing Unit) uses rotary degassing with a patented rotor to remove dissolved hydrogen — the primary cause of porosity in aluminium castings.
Also available: Roto-Schwenk degassing unit for flexible melt treatment.
05
Metal Treatment Station (MTS)
The MTS 1500 builds on FDU rotary degassing with flux dispensing into a controlled vortex for highly efficient melt treatment.
06
RPT & Density Index Machines
Reduced Pressure Testing (RPT) and Density Index (DI) quantify hydrogen content and porosity tendency before casting. Together with FDU degassing and COVERAL fluxes, they form a complete melt quality loop — treat, test, verify, cast.
